I took some yarn and placed two big cards at the end of it that read:
- I am NOT an open-minded person
- I am VERY open-minded
and wlloed students to place themselves on the line after having dicussed what open-mindedness entangles. (well, reinforced that concept).
You will get a very honest response and, as a follow-up, you can discuss choices with students.
This can also be followed by a story with the same focus.
